Week 17 -- The Diet

Well what can I say? Let me tell you I was surprised today when we went to weigh-in, I have lost another 1.3kgs which means I have now lost 9.5kgs and only have 500grams to go till I have reached my first goal and that is 10kgs ( thats heavy just pick up a bag of 10kgs of Potatoes), and Brett has lost another 500grams (1/2kg).

I have to tell you though, I would have thought I wouldn't have lost any neither did Brett, as last week was a really hard week for me emotionally, I was pretty down, and I mean down, but am now on the otherside looking forward and up, so last week there was no exercising and lots of naughty food, well some naughty food like Chocolate..

This week and next I will be working really hard toward me loosing that 500grams, and reaching that first major goal on my weight loss journey...This week I leave you with a photo that my cousin took of me, it was taken 2 weeks ago last Friday. I look forward to your comments.

Kosmo, Bones and the VET

On Friday morning about 7.00am, I gave Kosmo his fresh raw bone that he gets every morning, about 15mins later I went outside to get my car out of the garage and put it out the front for when I was ready to go to work at 7.35am, out came Kosmo from down the side of the house, and he looked uncomfortable, he had his paws trying to get something out of his mouth, and of course I went into panic mode, I brought him inside to have a look at what was wrong, and oh my god he had a piece of bone wedged between 2 of his top teeth, from one side to the other side in the top roof of his mouth, he wasn't in any pain, he was just getting annoyed because he couldn't get it out, I then tried to get it out myself but was unsuccessful. So off we went to the next door neighbours house to see Fred, who is our neighbour to see if he may have been able to wedge it out, but he was unsuccessful.

So I rang David the Vet, he said he would be in the clinic around 8.30pm, to bring Kosmo in then and he would try to get it out, he said if he couldn't get it out easily then he would have to sedate Kosmo, OH MY GOD, I was thinking my poor baby... So i got him in the car, mind you I had to take my little car as Brett had already gone to work at 5.00am that morning, So I was driving to the vet with one hand on the steering wheel and the other trying to help Kosmo keep his tongue free was getting stuck...

We arrived at the Vet Clinic and just as I was going to get Kosmo out of the car, and he got it out himself.. What a relief it was... So after all that we didn't need the Vets help after all, but he still came out and checked him out at no cost... Thank you David we appreciate it, so I took Kosmo home and I had a shower and then went to work...

14th May 2009 - "Beavers Big Adventure"

It was Thursday 14th May 2009, somewhere between 4.00pm and 5.45pm when my dad had some visitors come over for visit, and someone, I don't know who left the back sliding security door open slightly, it was enough for me to get out and go on a little adventure.

So off I went, underneath the house, its all dirt and cobwebs and bricks, I could hear the birds in the big trees, So I went to explore them, I came to the bottom of the tree and looked up, it was scary so I decided it wasn't worth the stree of climbing up the tree, So I decided to hide underneath the house until the sun went down.

I decided then to go adventuring next door to the neighbours house, I could hear Mum and Dad calling out to me, and my food container being rattled, I tried to Meow, but my meow wasn't loud enough for them to hea me. So then there was no noise at all but the rustling of the trees and it seemed to be getting cooler and darker, I was getting really really scared now.

It must have been 1 1/2 hours around 9.00pm, I crawled around, and I seen a light which I thought was my house, I thought if I can just get on to the verandah and meow Mum and Dad will come to the door and let me in, next thing you know I could smell a dog and that smell was familiar, thats right it was Kosmo and my Mum rattling my food calling out my name,"Beaver, Beaver", so I meowed and meowed and meowed really loud so they could hear me, and surely enough they did.

Kosmo came over and gave me a big lick and a nudge, Mum came running over and picked me up and cuddled me, then they took me home, was I glad to see them, as soon as I seen them I knew everything would be ok, because I was beginning to get really scared, hungry and cold.

After I got home my Mum put my dinner down for me, Yummy I had Whitebait & Chicken Breast, and I tell you I was that hungry I ate the whole lot, I then went and layed in front of the heater and went to sleep till Mum and Dad went to bed, then I went and slept on the end of their bed.

HEY I BET MY MUM WAS VERY UPSET WHEN SHE COULDN'T FIND ME, THE REASON I SAY THIS IS BECAUSE I KNOW HOW MUCH SHE LOVED KOSMO AND I

WEEK 15 -- THE DIET

Well the last 2 weeks have been interesting, week 14 was really well, but extremely busy and stressful at work trying to get things done, but yes we did it as usual.

Week 15, What can I say? The week started out really well with meeting my cousin for the first time on Tuesday, but whilst we were walking down the street I slipped and twisted my ankle, So I haven't been able to walk at all since this happened on Tuesday at lunch time, So no exercising, and not being home at tea time for both Brett and I for the next 3 nights, meant we ate some food that isn't any good for you like McDonalds and Chinese Food, So we have been a little naughty...
And yes today was weigh-in day and I have put on 400grams and Brett has now lost another 300grams, so overall we haven't done to bad I think. I have started to walk 10mins at a time on my walking machine and will increase it back to 30mins as the ankle gets better. So I will leave you with a picture of my Cousins daughter Miss Caitlan.
