Sat 25-11-06 17 Weeks Old Part 2

PART 2:



I was a little naughty the other day for a few days.when Mum & Dad go to work, i have been chewing on the wires to Uncle Victor's trailer and chewed thru them at the chassis, so my dad had to re-wire it on Monday ight after tea, I can't see to get to it now, looks like he has moved it so I can't get to it.



My dad sleeps in every morning and then comes and says Hello and plays with me for a while before he eats some food (I think it maybe his lunch - as when mum eats at night, he isn't there except on weekends). But I must say around 2.10am every morning, dad says, "Hello Kosmo", when he gets home, its still dark, very dark.



When mum was taking me for a walk today we went thru the bottom of the house to get out to the front to start our walk, I played with cuddles for a couple of minutes. I play rough but don't mean to be rough but I am just a puppy, When I get a bit rough she puts her claws in me and it hurts.



When I come inside I like to sit on the blue lounge, I look like a cool dog says my mum, That's cause I am a cool dog.

Sat 2511-06 17 Weeks Old Part 1

Long Post Ahead beware

"Here we are again and its Saturday -- another week gone by"

Well its been a mixed week, I have grown more, my tail seems to be getting longer & bigger and I am slowly growing into my paws.

I love those toys I have been talking about in my tales, especially the plastic ones and my ball which I have managed to get inside out and just chew on the orange piece. I am looking forward to the weekend when I get to see Sully, Jai, Aunty Liz and Uncle Victor, Hopefully the boys will come outside and play with me.

During the week my mum came home from work and we have been taking out walk everyday except "Wednesday" as the weather ( well i have never seen anything like this in my 16 weeks on this planet), I was a little frightened as I was home alone as my mum & dad were at work, But I went and got into my kennel and waited for Mum to come home, boy was I glad to see her, It was scary I hope I never have to see weather like that again and there was an awful smell in the air, it was making me feel a little unwell so I made sure I drank plenty of my fresh water.

I haven't been digging much in the dirt this week and my mum and dad are prou of me for not doing it, when I dig my mum has to clean it up with this crazy broom, its blue and she sweeps it back into the garden, I like to chase the broom, As I think it is a toy.

As I was saying before, during the week my mum came home from work, we had a walk and then mum had her dinner, I ate all mine as well, after as well we then went for a swim ( i was a little frightened at first but I had a tiny swim), I like going up into the pool area, when mum and dad are there because i go and get under the trees and the bushes and I like to eat the little orange ball things, I think they are berries from the palm treess, they are a bit hard to chew on but eventually i get there, I don't think I would like to eat to many of them as I think they may make me feel sick.

Cuddles the cat has been annoyingme a lot this week, at the back door, she just thinks she is so cool, she probably is but should not tease me because I will get into trouble for barking at her, she likes to climb up the bacck screen door which is naughty as she may well put a holee in it - dad only just fixed it up on monday afternoon.

Sat 16-11-06 16 Weeks Old Part 2

Part 2:

The big dogs next door don't scare me as they can't get to me,but they annoy me everyday at some stage cause they come to the fence up behind the shed and whinge at me from the other siide, So I have decided that I am going to bark at them, my mum and dad are teaching me not to bark at them and not to go under the tree to get up behind the shed,

Last Sunday I had a swim in our big swimming pool, it was scary at first because i had never swum before, but my mum and dad helped me a lot, so i think i am going to enjoy swimming, its just a tad cold still but I am sure when the weather gets warmer i will be taking lots of swims with mum and dad.

Sat 16-11-06 16 Weeks Old Part 1

Well its Saturday again, the weekend, I like Saturday & Sundays, because I get to spendd lots of time with my mum & dad and my kennel gets cleaned out.

A funny thing happened I got an email "What is an email?", I think it has something to do with my mum's computer. It was from my new friend "Harley" (the tenterfield terrier), he was my sister Tiny's Best internet friend, "Harley's" parents are Charlene & Robert Mirabella from Canberra , ACT, Australia.

This is what the email said:

HELLO KOSMO, HOW DID YOUR MUM & DAD PICK YOUR NAME?

"WOW", fancy someone asking me that, he must want to be my friend, so I decided to write Harley an email back and it goes like this:

Hi Harley,

  My Mum & Dad were looking on the internet at dog's names and came across" Cosmo" and my Dad decided that was going to be my name, except that they would be different and spell it with a "K" instead of a "C".

  I hope we can play together one day as I like to play, my friend "Cuddles" the cat just loves to play with me from inside the screen door, as I am only a puppy and I am not allowed in the house as yet till I get a bit bigger and get out of my silly stage, I have so many plastic toys to play with and tennis balls and I even had a soccer ball which I chewed a hole in so I can carry it around the yard.

  I have been a good boy, I love my kennel and I love going for my daily walks with my mum and seeing our neighbours across the road, cause he calls out to me and says hello.

Anyway Harley I must go now and have a play then a sleep, as you know being a puppy is a tiring job and sleeping helps you grow and this is all we do as puppies. Until next time WOOF, WOOF

Sat 4-11-06 14 Weeks Old Part 2

Part 2:

On Sunday morning Mum & Dad went and brought me a new kennel (grey plastic one) it was expensive $170.00, they brougjt it from the petshop at Glendale ( the one where the mini-foxies like "Tiny" are).

They brought it home and Dad put it together, he put my blanket in there as well, so after that sleeping at night was so much better for me, so my new life with my mum and dad had finally begun.

The radio thingy only lasted oone week and they took it off me, it didn't bother me, because when I got scared i just go in my kennel it is my safe haven, my mum cleaned out my kennel the other day, Boy Oh Boy was it dirty, i had lots of dirt and bits of rock in there and my plastic hotdog.

I have decided that I am going to be a good dog, and try and stay away from the fence, because i dont want to be attacked like my sister "Tiny".

The other week my mum and dad trimmed back all the trees in the backyard, Well BOY OH BOY I must have found 15 tennis balls, all the more for me to play with.

I guess I should go noww and I will write another tale next week.

Sat 4-11-06 14 Weeks Old Part 1

Since my sister "Tiny" died my Mum & Dad decided they would like another dog and began their search, looking in Newspapers and on the internet at the RSPCA website for many weeks, Dad seen a picture of a brown Border Collie X on the website, and on the Saturday went to the RSPCA to have a look, it was a miserable wet Saturday morning when my new prospective parents (Brett & Lisa) arrived at the RSPCA Shelter at Rutherford to look at the dog.

When they called out to the dog, it just layed there and wouldn't come, then Mum layed eyes on me a Black/Tan & White Border Collie X, and said she wanted to take me home, I was at the cage door waiting to get out, when the lady from the shelter let me out I jumped all over Lisa & Brett as I really liked them, after playing with me for a while the lady said I could go home with them. YIPEE YIPEE A NEW HOME.

I had been at the Shelter since I was real young, after buying me a brand new collar and lead we were off. I didn't like getting my collar on as I had never had one on before."I peed on the floor in the waiting area as I was excited, the lady cleaned it up with paper towel and some spray stuff"that smelt awful".

We went out to the car, my dad had to carry me as I didn't like the grass. My mum nursed me, both mum & dad patted me while the car was moving, as I was a little nervous but more frightened than anything else. They told me we were going to Aunty Liz's house to borrow her trailer, it seemed like a long long way away, when we got there my mum carried me inside and said to the people,"meet aunty lis & uncle bretts new baby".

Aunty Liz fell in love with me instantly, we stayed there a little while and dad put me in the garage on my own, "Oh Boy! was I scared or what, all I could think of was, what is this scary place, I want my mum, I want my mum, and found the door and cried a little bit. After a while this Kid called "Sully" came out to play with me and took me inside to show his mum, his mum wanted to take pictures of me with him, so I decided to show off a little, then it was Jai's turn to have photos with me, after that they put me back out in the big scary garage.

Finally it was time to go home, it took a long time to get there from Aunt Liz's house, it rained all the way. When we first got home mum put me inside the house so Dad could put the trailer out the back, I accidently peed on the carpet,my mum quickly cleaned it up, then I met "Cuddles" the cat. She was a bit upset with me, because she was scared of me, and just arched her back at me and let out 3 giant "meows". Then took off upstairs.

I followed mum upstairs but when it was time to go back down I couldn't do it, as it was high, and I was scared, so I sooked till mum came and carried me down, then she took me out the back to my new playground. I sniffed around for quite a while, leaving my mark by peeing in places (they call this marking your territory).

Mum & Dad then left me for an hour or more, and went to GOLO to buy me some toys, they brought me some plastiic balls and a plastic hotdog all these toys make a squeeking noise when i squeeze them with my teeth. I love my big water bowl and my water bucket, that night I slept on my blanket under the back of the house, I sooked really loud for a while, after which mum and dad decided to put a portable radio on for me, I was happy then because I thought someone or people where their with their with me all the time, the radio station was 2HD in Newcastle, and I particularly liked weeknightss with Graham Gilberts"Talk Tonight" as it was different topics and Sunday nights with "Carter Edwards Country", especially when he played "Slim Dusty" songs as my muum adores his music, and there are lots of Slim Dusty pictures around our house.
